Vlada and Dennis

We want to tell you about the whirlwind romance that happened through our agency.

The heroes of the story are Vlada and Dennis who met on the site and first wrote to each other on the 29th of September and soon decided to meet even though this was not an easy thing to do so. Although they faced many uncertainties because of the forthcoming lockdown, after a couple of video calls with Vlada, Dennis bought tickets to travel to Ukraine. At first, he had wanted to go to her native city, Berdyansk, but this proved to be too difficult because he would have had to wait all day at Kiev airport for the flight to Zaporozhye which would arrive at 21.00 and then he would have to take a taxi to get to Berdyansk which would take another three hours. So, Dennis invited Vlada to meet him in Kiev and when she agreed, he offered to pay for her train tickets. They were both very worried before the meeting but it was worth it!

On the 29th of October, just a month after their first communication, they met in real life! They spent four wonderful days with a translator with them for the second day which they spent sightseeing. Every other day they spoke to each other and had lots of fun teaching each other their own language. Dennis wanted to go back home with Vlada but the travel agency said this was not possible because of quarantine restrictions and because Ukraine was not in the Green Zone.

But they have not given up! Vlada is back home and is learning German and Dennis is waiting for the ending of quarantine so he can invite Vlada to Germany and welcome her to his home.
