Michael and Svetlana

After corresponding for a long time, on 10th August this year the long-awaited meeting between Mike and Svetlana finally took place.

Despite the fact that their meeting lasted only two days, they got along with each other really well and managed to visit many places... on the first day, they cheered for Svetlana's favourite Dynamo Kiev team then they had lunch at the wonderful Mayak restaurant overlooking the Motherland which Svetlana had chosen especially and which Mike really enjoyed.

The second day was even better as Svetlana and Mike went with the guide-translator to the Pirogovo area in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev and visited the museum there. This was the first time either of them had been to this historical area and since the weather was amazing, they really enjoyed the atmosphere of this amazing place.

But this is only the beginning of the story, as Mike is going to return to Kiev in October and Svetlana is looking forward to their second meeting. In the meantime, she will begin to study English so that she can communicate without problem.
