Maria and Robert

We were exchanging letters for a few months. It was a very interesting experience for me as I had just started to use the site. Additionally, I've never met a foreigner before. It was so impressive. I met Robert in Kiev this spring.

He lives in the United States, but natively he is from the Philippines. He showed me a lot of photos from his motherland, it was truly amazing. I couldn't even imagine that there were so many beautiful places in this world. We spent almost all week walking around Kiev and showing new places to Robert. We found that we had a lot of common interests. He has an amazing sense of humor. I was laughing almost every minute.

He promised to come back in one year, and I hope to meet him again. We became good friends and enjoyed each other’s company as well. He showed me a lot of positive things in myself I didn't even notice before. We were talking for a long time. I found him to be a very philosophical person, who is bringing an inner peace. Now we are communicating mostly by phone and waiting impatiently to meet each other soon.
